On a recent visit to Geneva in the northern part of New York State, I went to Glenwood Cemetery where I knew that some of my ancestors are buried.
A very kind man from the graveyard helped me look through the records he held and even went so far as to dig up the stones for me. I am immensely grateful to this man who went more than the extra mile for me. Of course, as I have found in the past, as soon as you answer one question, another one pops up and on this occasion I found far more Hyatts than I had bargained for.
My Charles Hyatt migrated from Gloucestershire to America in 1870. I wonder if he went because another relative was already there? Could that other relative have descendants in Geneva where Charles and his family settled? So ....... if anyone knows anything about Seymour Hyatt and his family, I would be very pleased to hear from them. By the way, Seymour Hyatt's family was linked to the Corwin family by more than one marriage.
